You will assist in all aspects of the mortgage/property underwriting/due diligence process within a fast paced, results oriented company environment. You are well-organized, have strong attention to detail, and are a problem solver. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to interact effectively within and across teams.
Company Description:Redwood Trust, Inc. (NYSE: RWT) invests in, finances, and manages real estate assets. Through its ownership of mortgage-backed securities, Redwood credit-enhances billions of dollars in high-quality residential and commercial real estate loans.
Essential Functions:- Responsible for creating and maintaining cash flow models.
- Perform property due diligence, which will include preparation of property level cash flow projections, lease review and analysis of outside information sources.
- Perform borrower/sponsor, guarantor and tenant credit analysis.
- Analyze credit performance in order to identify potential problems.
- Summarize credit analysis and property due diligence findings, including strengths and weaknesses into a formal write-up.
- Analyze various economic/market environments.
- Provide research support and prepare special studies as needed.
- Minimum 3-4 years of commercial real estate financial analysis.
- Strong credit skills. Formal credit training a plus.
- Familiarity with current appraisal and environmental study techniques.
- Proven proficiency with Excel and other MS office components including Power Point; Argus experience required.
- BA/BS degree with a concentration in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Real Estate.
