Job Description:Provides underwriting assistance to top producing multifamily mortgage loan originations team. Reviews and verifies all due diligence materials provided by the prospective borrowers and ensures they meet Agency guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure mortgages are in compliance with credit policy / procedures of CBRE Multifamily Capital and agency guidelines.
Complete initial review of borrower and general partner credit worthiness through liquidity verification, analysis of schedules of real estate owned and management experience.
Conduct initial on-site inspection of property and site characteristics and the surrounding sub-market
Review appraisals, environment site assessments, zoning reports, and physical needs assessment reports
Identify and analyze both risks and potential risks and provide / articulate mitigates to minimize risk exposure, based on loan due diligence materials
Prepare internal investment deal committee underwriting narratives and assist in presenting potential financing to investment committees
Maintain awareness of macro-economic, financial and Multi-family market trends as well as market fundamentals.
Qualifications:Minimum Education: Bachelor degree. Emphasis in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting preferred
Minimum Experience: 0-2 years of Commercial Real Estate Production / Underwriting Experience
Necessary Attributes:- Highly developed analytical, research and written/oral acumen
- Demonstrated ability to organized & prioritize; complete multiple tasks on schedule
- Ability to work independently in a team setting with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong work ethic and pro-active team player able to work effectively under tight deadlines
- Minimal travel required
