Events
SF|Rex will organize various types of networking events, including but not limited to, monthly networking happy hours, periodic educational/career development functions, and an annual holiday party.
Need
Real estate is a networking business and “who you know” is often as important as “what you know” in developing a successful real estate career. As such, the sooner a professional starts networking and developing professional relationships, the greater the chance of success.
Until now, San Francisco has not had a professional club or organization set up to serve the needs and objectives of young commercial real estate professionals. Generally, the existing organizations cater to the more experienced professionals and require some form of formal membership, which is typically granted only after certain requirements have been fulfilled.
Because of limited experience, most young professionals don’t meet these requirements and as a result, have been left on their own to somehow work their way into the City’s real estate community.
Membership
Membership in SF|Rex is open and free to all commercial real estate professionals with a genuine interest in real estate. Although SF|Rex targets young professionals, all commercial real estate professionals are welcome to participate.
History
Recognizing there was a lack of social and educational networking opportunities for San Francisco’s young commercial real estate professionals, the Founders founded SF|Rex in the Fall of 2003 to help serve the needs and objectives of these professionals.

SF|Rex is currently working with similar organizations around the U.S. to form a national network of sister organizations. Cities currently represented include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, DC.

SF|Rex will be run by its Leadership Committee, which will be comprised of the Founders and the Chairpersons in charge of each of the following sub-committees: events, membership, sponsorship, job board/marketing, and finance/legal.
